FOX Fellows

Expectations
Fellows will be active participants in the 9-month fellowship. The FOX Fellowship will leverage real-life, tried and true adaptive and technical exercises to accelerate impact in the Fellow’s first year in their role.  The monthly commitment of this Fellowship is an average of 6 to 8 hours a month (this includes execution of the Capstone Project over the course of the Fellowship).

Specifically, Fellows will attend and engage in the following programmatic components:

  • The in-person Kick-Off retreat is a two day conference for Fellowship participants. Beyond building a sense of team among participants, this gathering will establish a working dynamic between the success trio (Coach, Fellow and CEO), and begin the classroom-style learning component of the program.

The focus of this time will be on contextual and adaptive leadership skill building as well as timely and relevant technical teaching.

  • The Fellowship will provide classroom style learning in a pre-Kick-Off virtual session designed to review pre-work and prepare Fellows for their time at Kick-Off; at the in-person Kick-Off; virtually over the course of the Fellowship; and at the Capstone Conference.

Each virtual classroom session will be 3 hours long.

  • Each fellow will have 14 hours of dedicated individualized coaching sessions (roughly two sessions per month). These coaching sessions include at least three triad meetings between the Coach, the Fellow, and their CEO.

  • Fellows will participate in affinity groups based on CMO size and functional area. These Advisory HUBs are designed to facilitate the learning process and build professional life-lines that last beyond the fellowship

  • Coaches will visit Fellows to directly observe them in action. This visit will take place mid-Fellowship and will be bookended by a meeting between the CEO, the Coach and the Fellow to assess progress toward goals.

  • The Capstone Project is a value-added initiative meant to address one of the most pressing operational or financial issues that the Fellow’s organization is facing.

Fellows will have the entirety of the Fellowship program to tackle this timely and relevant issue. Fellows will present the outcome of their work before a panel at the conclusion of the Fellowship.

  • The on demand classes are virtual, self-paced sessions. They complement the core FOX curriculum and are optional. These sessions can be assigned by coaches as an additional learning opportunity throughout the coaching process.
