Dan Gennaoui joined KIPP Nashville in June of 2015 where he is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer before which he was the Chief Operating Officer. During Dan’s tenure at KIPP, the organization has expanded from 1,100 students to over 3,000 with plans to educate over 5,000 students in Nashville over the next few years. During this time, KIPP Nashville has yielded some of the strongest academic results in the city and focused on college and career readiness for all students. As Chief Financial Officer, Dan leads a team overseeing growth planning, annual financial planning and management, and facilities financing and expansion. Prior to his work at KIPP, he served as the Associate Chief Operating Officer at Uncommon Schools in NYC managing 6 elementary schools in Brooklyn, NY. Dan was a 2004 Teach for America Corps Member teaching in the Bronx, NY at I.S. 162 and later in New Orleans, LA at Lafayette Academy Charter School. Dan holds an MBA from Columbia Business School (2011), an MA from Bank Street College of Education (2006) and a BS from Cornell University (2004). He currently lives with his wife, Lauren, and three children in Nashville, Tennessee.
